The Parish Art Group has been formed to allow those in the parish who love art to spend time together; to marvel at the wonders of Creation; to better appreciate and understand the work of others; and to use and develop our own talents.
It is planned that the Group will meet from 6.30pm until 8.30pm every Monday in the Community Room at Holy Cross Church (apart from the first Monday of the month). Numbers are limited by the size of the room and membership is already full. Founder members have a range of ability – from absolute beginners to the more experienced. Formal lessons will not be not offered. It is anticipated that members will simply work on their own pictures/projects, at their own pace, using their own materials, in the company of their friends. There will, however, be an abundance of help and advice available. It should be relaxing, enjoyable and therapeutic. Most important, it should be good fun. |
