You may be new to Lichfield or have lived here all your lifetime, be active in the churches or involved with one of our primary schools. Whatever it is, this news sheet is for you. So read it through and let us know what you think. We’d like to hear your news and share it with the parish.

Parish Concert Success

13 parish groups took part in the concert held in November in the parish hall. All contributed to a wonderful parish evening of family entertainment. By the time the concert started the hall was full with 150 seated and 20 standing. A big thank you to Simon Dilkes who compered the evening, and the ever dependable Joe Cooper on the piano.

£165 was raised from tickets sales and this

was used to buy books for Year 6 leavers and

the Bukumbi nursing school.

Lichfield Catholic Ladies & Friends

We meet once a month, on the 3rd Tuesday, in the Community Room at Holy Cross. Our gathering usually starts at 8pm. All ladies of the parish are welcome to come along. The evening is simply a gathering of friends, old and new.

Our programme for the next three months is :

20 March - History evening - Mary Queen

of Scots

17 April - Country Pub Skittles

15th May - Morris Dancing

The group welcomes all ladies associated with the parish, this includes non-catholic friends too.

Breakfast for Sudan

Over £600 has been raised from the refreshments served in the Community Room after the Sunday 8.30 mass.

The money supports an orphanage in the Sudan through links with the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

You will regularly find Wendy, John and Claire serving refreshments every Sunday. Not only does this raise a considerable amount, but also provides the opportunity for friendly conversation.
